Baby Afghan

I have finally finished the baby afghan for here at our house. I used the Radianting Star Blanket pattern and Sidar dk yarn in a beauitful soft sage green. This is going to be the perfect size to wrap my granddaughter in.

Heart Made Comfortghans

In January Scott had to have surgery to remove a cyst from his neck/jaw area. Someone was so kind and contacted Heart Made Blankets and asked that they send him a comfortghan. We were both so moved by this act of kindness. It did a lot to lift his spirits. It also just happened to feature one of his favorite colors...green. This blanket is a work of art.

Then in Febraury when we were scared that I had Cancer someone requested one be sent to me. I was very moved that someone did this for me. I just realized that I hadn't mentioned it to any of my friends. I hope who ever did this can forgive me for the oversight. I was so overwhelmed with all that was happening. I have to say I feel kind of guilty having been given this blanket, I was lucky enough not to have had anything serious wrong. Thank you whoever did this for me/us, we carry your kindness in our hearts.

We Are Going To Be Grandparents!

We are going to be grandparents. Our Darling Daughter is blessing us with our first grandchild, a granddaughter. She is due on May 3, 2011, but it looks like she is coming early.

I started knitting for her when dd was safely at 12 weeks. I haven't stopped knitting for and have added crocheting and sewing to the mix. The crocheting is somewhat new for me. I struggle to get the project just right and tend to have very tight stitches, but I am learning and enjoying it as I go. Sewing is easy for me I have been doing that since I was 8 yrs old. I have sewn up some cute bibs and plan on sewing burp cloths next week.

I have posted a ton of picture of most of the things i have made for our McKenna. I am excited to see her wear the that I have worked so hard on. Each stitch is filled with love and dreams for her future. I find myself wondering what type of person she will be, will she has her mom's smile that goes all the way to her eyes, will she be mischievous like her mom and uncle. Will she be a girlie girl or more of a tom-boy. I can't wait to meet this little girl and shower her with lots of love. I just hope she waits a couple more weeks to arrive.
